Made in Hackney

This vibrant community kitchen goes beyond teaching the art of cooking; it's a hub for sustainable living and social change.

With a varied selection of workshops and initiatives, Made in Hackney showcases how food can be a force for good. It embraces locally sourced ingredients and fosters food awareness responsibly and socially inclusively. The programs highlight the benefits of cooking meals using plant-based ingredients and even offer specific workshops designed to help with things like type 2 diabetes, chronic bowel disorders and depression.

It's a place where culinary skills meet sustainability for the betterment of people and the planet.

“The kitchen started as a response to global and local crisis – health inequalities, food access and climate change. These interconnected issues drive our mission to bring about positive change in the areas of community, health and environment with delicious, culturally varied, nutritious plant-based food at the centre of all we do”
