The Lexi Cinema
The Lexi is not your typical cinema. Beyond its impressive film programme, the Lexi stands out for its unique commitment to community and sustainability. Since opening in 2008, they have reinvested 100% of profits to the Sustainability Institute in Lynedoch, South Africa, supporting many different programs along the way. The cinema has also carried out numerous infrastructure improvements over the years to reduce its environmental impact.
The Lexi is a good reminder that sustainability is a continuous journey - not a one time fix. Enjoy a wonderful evening out whilst supporting a social enterprise at the same time. It’s a win win!

“The Lexi Cinema is housed in an adapted Edwardian hall, retrofitted for sustainability, and in 2021 we opened The Lexi Hub, a new build space for the community which has been designed along cutting edge ecological principles. Sustainability has been at the heart of all that we do since we opened our doors in 2008.”
